About Oadby & Wigston Borough AFVBC
Elliott Hall for Youth & Community in South Wigston is where we are located, the venue has been supporting the local Armed Forces and Veterans community for the past six years, by running a various events to bring the Armed Forces community together within the borough, to come together for a good banter & food, helping to bringing back those memories. While here you can enjoy home cooked food from full English Breakfast to a lovely cream tea to a Sunday roast are on offer.
We wished to carry on supporting further so came part of the Worldwide organsation called the Armed Forces Veterans Breakfast Club (CIC), which is run by volunteers of whom some are veterans or has linkes to the forces in some way. This group offer more than other AFBVC which you will notice when visiting them or reading this website or even seeing them at a events.
Our purpose is to facilitate veterans and serving Armed Forces personnel to meet face to face in a relaxed, safe, social environment to enjoy breakfast and banter, to combat loneliness and allow veterans to ”return to the tribe”

Meet The Team
Behind all great organsations their are amazing volunteers who give up their time to support others. Oadby & Wigston Borough AFVBC is no different, with over 24 volunteers some who have served them self or worked for the services or MOD, come together to give up their time at each event to support our veterans & serving personnel to enjoy their visit & events with us.
All our events are open to all and not just the armed forces, but their family & friends as well, so why not pop down for a cuppa and chat about the old days and educate others.

When Joining AFVBC
Once you have joined us, you will receive from paperwork to complete as well as a FREE AFVBC polo or t-shirt with your name on. We understand how busy our lives can be & by volunteering can take up extra time, so thats why at Oadby & Wigston Borough AFVBC we are greatful for anytime you able to give us, and we do not expect you to do every thing we offer.
Being part of the group you will also be invited to our members social events thoughout the year, not only will you be joining a worldwide organsation, you will be joining us, a new family who will always be here when needed.

You can now support us by playing our community lottery, with each ticket brought will support us. Tickets cost £1.00 per week with a chance of winning £25,000 and some amazing prizes. Click link below for more details
We are always looking at ways to support our club and it's aims. One way is by holding raffles & tombolla's thoughout the year, so any donations are welcome.
